What kind of place is Weeknd SGN?

Weeknd SGN is a hip-hop club in the heart of District 1, at 66 Huynh Thuc Khang, Ben Nghe Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. It opened in 2025 and took an unusual route for Saigon: it only opens at the weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the whole schedule, so a full week of energy gets packed into three nights.

People find it under a handful of names. Some search weeknd saigon, others weeknd sgn, weeknd club or the weeknd saigon, and plenty spell it Weekend Saigon because that is how it sounds. They all lead to the same door. The official spelling is Weeknd, with no e in the middle, exactly as it appears on the logo and on the orange flag inside.

What sets it apart is focus. This is not a room that mixes every genre to please everyone: hip-hop is the spine of the night, R&B rides alongside it, and themed nights are built fresh each week. Capacity is around 300, enough to keep the floor full while most spots still have a line of sight to the DJ booth.

Opening hours: three nights a week

Doors open at 22:00 and close at 05:00 the next morning, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Monday to Thursday the club is closed, so if you were planning a midweek night out, move it to the weekend.

The room usually peaks after midnight, when resident DJs and guest artists trade sets until close to dawn. Arriving right at opening makes it easier to choose a spot, settle your group and catch the warm-up before the floor fills.

With only three nights on offer, tables go faster than at clubs open all week, Saturday most of all. For a big group or a special occasion, reserve a few days ahead.

The room: dance floor, DJ booth and sofas

The first thing you see is a packed dance floor under laser beams and moving-head lights. The ceiling is left open, with ducting and lighting rigs on show, and the colour shifts between blue, violet and orange as the music moves. A disco ball hangs over the floor, scattering small points of light across the crowd.

The DJ booth is the centre of gravity. In the club's own videos, the mixer and decks sit right up against the crowd, with a large LED screen behind them running graphics that change with each night's theme. DJs and MCs stand together in the booth, sometimes the whole crew on the mic at once, so there is almost no distance between the people playing and the people dancing.

Sofas line the edge of the floor for groups with a table booking: close enough to stay part of the action, with somewhere to sit and keep your things. A familiar sight on busy nights is the orange WEEKND SGN flag being waved high over the room.

Music and themed nights

Hip-hop leads, with R&B woven through. Resident DJs carry the thread all night, while guest artists and popup shows arrive on their own weekly schedule, and many of those nights happen only once.

The club's videos show how much work goes into each theme. One night the whole booth crew wore yellow football shirts while the screen behind them played football graphics. Another ran under the name WEEKND HALFTIME, with an American football printed across the screen. On another, guests turned up waving light sticks and holding up photo cards of their idols, like a fan meet. Every week tells a different story, so two visits rarely feel alike.

Line-ups and themes change constantly. The surest way to know what is on is to check the club's Facebook page or Instagram early in the week, or simply ask when you call to book.

Three table tiers and how to choose

Seating comes in three tiers: the Standard Sofa for groups of 1 to 4, the Premium Table for up to 8, and the VIP Table for up to 10. Each tier already includes a number of table-service sets, and the count rises with the tier.

Choosing is simple. Two or three of you who just want a base for the night will be fine on a Standard Sofa. Groups of five to eight should go Premium for more room. Birthdays, larger parties or nights when the spot really matters call for a VIP table. Full details of each tier are on the menu page, and the team will suggest a position that suits your group size when you call.

Booking takes a few minutes

Holding a table at Weeknd is free; you pay at the venue. There are two ways to do it, so pick whichever is easier.

The first is the form on the booking page. The quick version asks only for your phone number, group size and date; the full version adds your name, arrival time and a notes box for birthdays or special requests. Once it is sent, the team calls back to confirm within about 15 minutes.

The second is to call the hotline or message on Zalo or WhatsApp. Give the date, the number of guests and the tier you would like; the table is held once the team confirms it back to you. If you need to change the time, the group size or cancel, let them know early on the same number; if you already know you will arrive later than booked, send a quick message so the table stays held.

The form on the site asks only for what is needed to hold a table and never for payment details. The phone number you leave is used only to call or message you about the booking.

Getting to 66 Huynh Thuc Khang

The club sits at 66 Huynh Thuc Khang, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, right in the city centre. Nguyen Hue walking street is about three minutes away on foot, which makes it easy to have dinner or wander downtown before heading in.

Coming by motorbike, there is parking close to the venue. By car, there are car parks within roughly 200 metres around Huynh Thuc Khang, and staff will point you to one when you arrive. If you take a taxi or ride-hailing app, enter house number 66 exactly so you are dropped at the door.

Good to know before you go

Weeknd admits guests aged 18 and over only. Bring photo ID, as staff may check it at the door.

The dress code is smart and elegant. Dark, characterful outfits are favoured; flip-flops and sports shorts are not suitable. Closed shoes and a sharp top are usually a safe choice.

The floor is busy and the lighting is low, so keep your belongings close and agree a meeting point with your group beforehand.

First time at Weeknd: five things to remember

One: the club opens Friday, Saturday and Sunday only, from 22:00. Two: Saturday tables go first, so reserve ahead if you are coming as a group. Three: bring photo ID and dress smart, ideally in darker tones. Four: check the Facebook page early in the week to see whether that night has a theme or a guest. Five: if it is a special occasion, put it in the booking notes rather than mentioning it at the door.

Which occasions suit Weeknd?

Groups of friends who want a full night of hip-hop at the weekend are the club's most familiar faces. The venue also takes bookings for birthdays, company celebrations and private events, held in the VIP area. Put the occasion and the number of guests in the notes when you book so the team can prepare; for large parties, call the hotline to plan around your group size.

If you love a particular theme, keep an eye on the popup show schedule. Those nights tend to draw exactly the crowd who share that passion, and the floor feels very different from an ordinary weekend.
